Looking back…
My 10-month Bible Memory Journey is an experience filled with ups and downs, I can’t even begin to explain how difficult it is for me to memorize books of the Bible AND recite it on camera. However, I am still so glad that I decided to start this journey!
Through this, I was able to connect and learn from amazing people from all over the world who do Scripture memory. I am also able to stay accountable with my goal of memorizing the books of the New Testament which is really cool considering how Biblically illiterate I was before.
And while I have already set my goal of finishing this Bible Memory Journey in two years, I realize now that it might take longer than what I previously anticipated… and that’s OKAY! Even if it takes me three, four, or five years, I will continue to work towards my goal until I see it through to the end.
So, I want to encourage you. If you are experiencing some setbacks in your Bible Memory Journey, reset your goal! Remember, simply memorizing the Scripture is NOT the ultimate purpose. What is your why for memorizing the Bible? It is the whole journey of being with the Lord as we memorize His word.
