Congratulations! You’ve made it through the 12 memory strategies and hopefully you’ve been inspired to prioritize this Scripture memory journey that you’re on. So…what’s next?

I want to challenge you to do more than just learn how to memorize the Bible. In order to make this a habit – something that you prioritize for more than just the next week or two, you’re going to need something else.
Accountability.
Take a moment to hear some of my personal thoughts on this:
So what does it mean to build accountability?
Four Types of Bible Memory Accountability
Building the right kind of accountability for your Bible memorization goals can look different for everyone. Here are four of the most common strategies:
- In-Person Group: If you can find a group of people or a friend that you can take out to coffee to recite what you’ve memorized, this is amazing! Often these kinds of groups have to be built and I’ve had some great conversations with my friend Janet Pope to help you know how to go about doing this.
- Online Community (free): We have thousands of people from around the world who prioritize memorizing the Bible and love to encourage each other on a daily basis. For some people, this community has even become an alternative for the mindless scrolling on Facebook! It’s absolutely free to join.
- Bible Memory Coaching: There’s a reason why people hire a personal trainer, a business coach or even a life coach: personal coaching works! If you’d like to have your own Bible memory coach who can help you set goals, talk through various methods and help keep you accountable to the goals you set, learn more about our coaching program here.
- Group Accountability (Patron): For some people, one-on-one coaching is just too expensive. That’s why we have our group accountability for those who become community patrons! Join in on our bi-monthly Bible memory challenges, our monthly “study together” sessions, our intimate Barnabas groups or one of the many other benefits of being a patron. Learn why becoming a patron is so beneficial here.

Of course, not everybody is going to take me up on this whole accountability thing, no matter how much I believe in it. That’s ok! You can continue to learn and be inspired through the weekly videos and podcast episodes that we put out through Bible Memory Goal.
